I took a quick sip on Saturday- sweet, rich, thick, luscious, nice chocolate-caramel taste. Great head and silky texture. From what I observed, it looks to be a very delicious brew. To make it more of a stout, recommend adding roast malt or more black patent.
I like the taste of the oatmeal stout - it's complex with notes of chocolate and a bit of maltiness. The oats add texture, but it's subtle, and misses the mark a bit for me. It is a good beer, but I think I missed the "stout" color and body. Will have to tinker.
Got to agree with Chris. Interesting brown-amber style ale with a fine clear color and sturdy head, but seems to suffer an identity crisis about what its supposed to be.
